I absolutely LOVE this show SO much! I haven't watched it in a while (because I don't have cable OR basic channels). I'm currently watching a marathon of season 5. =)

Emptiness...

I've had this empty feeling inside of me for the past couple weeks. At first, I thought it had something to do with school or band. Then it hit me. I feel more and more like a third wheel everyday. All the people I always hang out with have boyfriends or girlfriends. They make me feel...awkward. And somewhat lonely. I'm perfectly fine staying single, but it's really starting to get to me. What should I do? Comment.

Well hello my lovelies!

I know I haven't posted in a while, and I'm sorry. (Not that many people visit my blog anyway, but hey, whatever.)

So, I just wanna say that I am starting a new blog soon. I don't know what I'm calling it yet, but I'll let you know! :]
I probably won't start it til 2nd semester though. I may make it a story blog, and just tell stories, or I may make it a journal of the rest of my senior year. Any ideas for me? Comment! :]

"Do Hard Things"

So in my Sunday school class, we're starting to read this book called Do Hard Things by Alex & Brett Harris. It's a book about how teens should rebel against low expectations, and I love it so far! It's written by teens, for teens.

Before we started reading, our pastor asked us what we thought the definition of "teenager" was. We all put our two-cents in and came up with: rebellious, free-spirited person who wants to stand out in the crowd. Then we started talking about what what adults think "teenager" means. A girl in my class pulled out her phone and Googled it. She got all these websites on "Teen Pregnancies", "How To Parent Teens", "Troubled Teens", and TV shows, like "16 and Pregnant" and "The Secret Life of The American Teenager".

FINALLY this brings me to my point of this post.

I think those TV shows are demeaning. They make it seem like ALL teen girls go out and get pregnant, and all teen guys just want to have a "good time". It sets ideas in adults' minds which causes them to not take us seriously! It's hurtful in my opinion. It makes me feel ashamed to be a teen! That's not good!

I think teens need to start taking a stand for what they believe in. Not all teens act the same, and the world needs to know!

Well... Here I am! I know it's been a while since I've posted, so I just thought I'd give a few updates...
I'm a senior! I'm taking band, clothing & textiles/foods & nutrition, advanced algebra, CP english, PE, vet tech, anatomy, and constitution/consumer ed. I only have one class with my best friend.. Mr. Miller is still an awesome teacher! I made some new friends! Ashley, Rachel, and I FINALLY have lockers right next to each other! I can't wait til Senior Trip!!! :)
